Notes Östlich von Taşucu liegen Ruinen des im 7. Jahrhundert v. Chr. von Griechen gegründeten Holmoi. Piratenüberfälle führten zu dessen Zerstörung im 4. Jahrhundert v. Chr.. Die Bewohner wurden nach Seleukia am Kalykadnos (heute Silifke) umgesiedelt.
