Title
LANCUM-D6E434: Early Roman fragment of a Samian ware vessel
Description
English: A large lump of corroded ferrous material, potsherds (Samian ware and possibly colour-coated Nene Valley ware), sand and pebbles. This is probably a lump of material which was found after a Roman cremation and subsequently buried/deposited as it was. The break along the Samian ware sherd looks recent. It joins LANCUM-D797F5 and was part of a second century decorated form Dragendorff 37 vessel.
