Title
LANCUM-502CD4: Probably Roman potsherd
Description
English: Small wall sherd, probably of a Roman colour-coated vessel dating from c. AD43-410. The sherd is very worn, but it was made from light beige/cream-coloured fabric with only few inclusions and many flattish voids. Both inside and outside were colour-coated: the reddish colour of the almost coat resembles that of Samian ware and it is possible that this sherd comes of a vessel that was trying to imitate Samian ware.
