Description

L528YDL (5628), an old bus, a Volvo B10B body with Alexander Strider bodywork is seen here in Gillingham Dorset with full Wilts & Dorset Go Ahead livery, even though it operates for Damory Coaches. There is a small sign in the windscreen confirming this to confused passengers. I haven't seen this bus on the 309 service Blandford - Shaftesbury before. I like the way it still has old roller blinds rather than the dot-matrix or LED ones which are always a pig to photograph! It's an ageing step entrance bus, formerly Solent Blue Line and Wilts & Dorset and makes a nice change to the now very common Optare Solo on the 309 route!

I think this bus was new in 1994 or thereabouts.
