Description

1970 NSU 1200 TT in heat 1 of the 2014 CRAA classic race in Aarhus.

Overheating has always been the achilles-heel of the otherwise wonderful little NSUs, and this weekend was no exception. The lap times in heats 2 and 3 were fast enough for a finish just outside the top 10, but unfortunately the engine couldn't last the distance.

The 1971-class is always one of the most crowded classes at CRAA and often the first to have a full entry-list. Resultwise it tends to be dominated by MkI Ford Escorts in general and two drivers, Klaus Bodilsen and Benny Rasmussen, in particular. That is not to say, that the races are boring - with close to 40 cars on a narrow street cicuit, intense action is always guaranteed.
