Description

1972 BMW 2002tii (E10) in heat 1 of the 2014 CRAA classic race in Aarhus.

Race results in 2014 event: Training (fri.): 6 (of 39) Qualifying (sat.): 4 (of 38) Heat 1 (sat): 3 (of 34) Heat 2 (sun.): 6 (of 34) Heat 3 (sun.): 5 (of 30) Combined: 4 (of 37)

In a class dominated by Ford Escorts, Laulund in his E10 proved to be the "best of the rest" with good top results in all 3 heats, earning him a combined 4th place, just outside the weekend podium.

The 1971-class is always one of the most crowded classes at CRAA and often the first to have a full entry-list. Resultwise it tends to be dominated by MkI Ford Escorts in general and two drivers, Klaus Bodilsen and Benny Rasmussen, in particular. That is not to say, that the races are boring - with close to 40 cars on a narrow street cicuit, intense action is always guaranteed.
