English below the Swedish caption. "The longest journey is the journey inward" Dag Hammarskjöld writes in his book "Markings" (as in "Road markings"). I borrow that setting as a title for this image. Not a single quote I've found is accompanied with a proper reference. Neither in English, nor in Swedish. I cannot find it in my copy, and don't remember it from my two readings. However, at one moment in time, someone decided to remove the door and cover it in the same yellow brick the as the rest of the house. Suppose that happened when the house was fairly new. Someone has told me that this house used to be a dairy shop. While I was working with this shot two ladies approached me, wondering if I was working with a forensic investigation because of the blood stain on the lowest stepping stone. Yes there is a stain at the corner closest to the camera. The ladies lived in the neighbourhood and were curios on who was my client, and why I was there with camera and flashes and the lot.
