4 June 2014 -Washington, DC - Vice President of the United States Joe Biden and U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez participated in a Third Way roundtable and listening session to discuss skills and workforce development. Brief opening remarks were delivered by Jon Cowan, (PICTURED LEFT) President of Third Way. Secretary Perez then delivered remarks and then introduced Vice President Biden. The audience was allowed to ask questions at the end which concluded the first session. Secretary Perez started session two joined by Nancy Hale, Sr. VP of Third Way who expanded the discussion from the first session. The roundtable included: Byron Auguste, (PICTURED RIGHT) senior partner at McKinsey & Company in Washington DC; Edward Gordon, Author and Consultant, Imperial Consulting Corporation; Rufus Glasper, Chancellor, Maricopa Community Colleges; Deborah Shepherd, President, Lake Area Technical Institute; Steven L. VanAusdle, President, Walla Walla Community College; Barbara Veazey, President and CEO, West Kentucky Community and Technical College; Doris Gonzalez, Director of Corporate Citizenship & Corporate Affairs, IBM; Shaila Ittycheria, Co-Founder, Enstitute; Earl A.
