Les ailerons appuient et relientla superposition dun second étage sur le premier,directement au dessus de la nef centrale seule suré-levée, et ces deux étages sont pourvus dun frontonsur colonnes, le second étage empruntant ses mou-lures et ses chapiteaux à un ordre différent dupremier. Derrière ce portail monumental apparaît un dômesoutenu souvent par un troisième ordre.
