Ils réunissent des hommes, des femmes, des enfants,et le nombre des convives est naturellement très variable.Cest un banquet funèbre, très probablement, qui est repré-senté dès la fin du i^r ou au commencement du ii© siècle,au cimetière de Domitille (fig. 9). Il y a, en second lieu, des banquets célestes. Et cen estun certainement que le repas des cinq vierges sages au cime- Planche IX.

Il en est qui lèvent leur verre.Mais notez ce détail : des inscriptions dans le champsemblent répéter les ordres des convives à deux personnagesdont les noms ne changent pas, Iréné, Agapé : Irène da calda !Agape misce mi ! ou bien, les rôles étant changés : Irène,misce!
