Vitrail avec décor de paon, anémones, iris et autres fleurs du bar de l'hôtel Mercure Château-Perrache Verrières décoratives datées de 1912 réalisées par Paquier Sarrasin Hippolyte (peintre-verrier à Lyon) Ces vitraux ne faisaient pas partie à l'origine de l'hôtel Terminus PLM, ils sont un remploi et proviennent de l'hôtel Royal (place Bellecour) qui appartenait au même propriétaire. Ils ont été installés en 1989, comme l'indique la fiche de l'inventaire général. (moteur Collections du ministère de la culture) ____________ La Compagnie P. L. M. décide vers 1902 la construction d'un hôtel de luxe proche de la gare de Perrache au 12, cours de Verdun à Lyon (Hôtel Terminus du PLM) L'architecte retenu est Georges CHEDANNE (1861-1940), Grand Prix de Rome en 1887. Assisté de l'architecte lyonnais M. Curieux, il conçoit un immeuble à structure métallique très novateur pour l'époque qui est achevé en 1906. En 1937, l'hôtel rentre au patrimoine de la SNCF, son exploitation est successivement concédée à plusieurs sociétés. C'est aujourd'hui un hôtel Mercure (Groupe Accor). Au moment de la construction, les meilleurs artistes et décorateurs contribuent au décor intérieur de l'hôtel Terminus dont une partie a été conservée.
