| Description | Ajuntament de l´Argentera (Baix Camp) - Es troba al vessant oriental de la serra de l´Argentera.El poble, amb fama de boirós, té una "una font de ferro" de molta anomenada.La fundació del nucli de la població ha estat atribuïda als romans i se suposa que el nom fa referència a l´explotació pel romans de les vetes de galena. L¨Argentera formava part de les terres de Sant Marcel i de la vall de Porrera, un terç dels drets de les quals el desembre de 1180 Alfons I cedí a Pere de Déu.L´Argentera tenia una església romànica de reduïdes dimensions, situada al mig del poble, que, abandonada al segle XVIII, quedà envoltada pel cementiri, fins que les seves restes foren adquirides per Eduard Toda cap el 1918 per utilitzar-les en la restauració d´Escornalbou |
