Description
Deutsch: Mahnmal zum KZ Gusen (Außenlager des KZ Mauthausen) / Der Künstler Rudolf Burger aus Gusen schuf dieses Mahnmal "Gequält - Gemordet" / In der Erläuterung am Fuße steht: "Die Betonsteher für die elektrisch geladenen Zäune sind symbolhaft für das Stollenprofil. Ihre Anordnung soll das Gefühl der Einkerkerung, der Unentrinnbarkeit ausdrücken. Gleich überdimensionalen Krallen umspannen sie die in Ketten gelegten Menschen. Der Granitblock ist ausgebildet als Opferstein, auf dem Abertausende einem mörderischen Wahnsinn geopfert wurden. Die auf der Oberseite des Blockes herausgehauene schale mit den Blutrillen erinnert einerseits an die Seziertische im Lager, andererseits ist sie Kristallisationspunkt für Blut und Tränen der Opfer."
