Deutsch: Vorderseite: Silphionfrucht mit abgesetzter Kontur, darum verteilt vier Kugeln.

Rückseite: Flachvertieftes Quadrat, darin Silphionpflanze.

Kommentar: Die Vorderseite dieser Münze zeigt die herzförmige Silphionfrucht oder einen Samen der Pflanze, die Rückseite wahrscheinlich die ganze Silphionpflanze, welche im Altertum an der libyschen Küste, also im Prägegebiet der vorliegenden Münzen, wuchs. Die Milch der Silphionstaude galt in der Antike als vielseitig einsetzbares Heilmittel. Zusätzlich wurde die Pflanze als hochwertiges Mastfutter in der Viehzucht verwendet, wodurch wahrscheinlich ihr Aussterben noch in der Antike zu erklären ist.
