Description
Afrikaans: Kwartsiet van die Daspoort-formasie in die Pretoria-groep, in Faerie Glen Natuurreservaat, Pretoria. Onversteurd sedert die vorming daarvan, sowat 2.1 miljard jaar gelede, soos die ewewydige lyne gevorm deur vloeiende water oor 'n rivierbedding getuig. Die kwartsietlaag is na die noorde gekantel, na 'n baie groot, antieke magmakamer 'n paar kilometer na die noorde.
English: Quartzite of the Daspoort formation in the Pretoria Group, in Faerie Glen Nature Reserve, Pretoria. It is undisturbed since its formation, some 2.1 billion years ago, as the parallel lines formed by flowing water on a river bed are still visible. The layer is tilted to the north, towards a very large, ancient magma chamber some kilometers to the north.
