Deutsch: Vorderseite: [ÞAO KA]-NhÞKI [baktrisch]. Kanishka I. steht mit langem Kaftan mit Schulterflammen, Hosen, Stiefeln und Kronhaube in der Vorderansicht, den Kopf nach l. gewandt. Er hält in der l. Hand eine Lanze und mit der R. opfert er über einem kleinen Altar.
Rückseite: [MHT]PAΓO B-OYΔO [baktrisch]. Buddha (Maitreya Buddha) sitzt frontal im Lotossitz auf einem niedrigem Schemel, die r. Hand hat er in der Geste des abhayamudrā (Geste der Furchtlosigkeit) erhoben und in der l. Hand hält er eine Wasserflasche. Kommentar: Maitreya gilt im Buddhismus als der Buddha der Zukunft und als der große kommende Weltlehrer. Die Datierung der Kuschanmünzen und ihrer Prägeherren ist umstritten. Während R. Göbl die Prägung Kanishkas I. ins 3. Jh. n. Chr. legt, möchten H. Falk und J. Cribb die Regierungszeit Kanishkas I. zwischen 127 und 150 n. Chr. ansetzen.
