Description
Deutsch: Ein Mann, der die großartige Treppenanlage betritt führt den Betrachter in das Bild. In einer Loggia ist der Papst, möglicherweise Julius II., zu sehen, als größter Auftraggeber und Förderer der Renaissance. Davor befinden sich einige der berühmtesten Maler: Vorne links am Treppenabsatz sind Leonardo da Vinci und Raphael, rechts hinter der Balustrade ist Michelangelo in Denkerpose. Tizian erteilt Malunterricht, und Paolo Veronese malt auf einem Gerüst. Darüber schweben personifizierte Darstellungen von Ruhm und Ehre der Künste -― Fama und Gloria.
