[edit]DescriptionKumbum Tempel in Gyantse, Tibet, Zentralasien.jpg |
English: A model of Gyantse Kumbum. The Kumbum (or Pango Chöten) Temple of Gyantse in Tibet was built in 1440 by Chögyel Rabten Künzang Phag, the second in a line of tribal leaders who made Gyantse the capital of their small kingdom. The stupa was named Kumbum because of the 100,000 representations (deities) visible inside. |
