Description
English: Еngineer Pavle Horvat’s House, 4 Ivićeva Street in Zemun, was built in 1910 in art nouveau style. It was on the estate of engineer Pavle Horvat, the author of the new regulation plan of Zemun from 1911. The house has a cellar, ground floor and upper floor. It has a characteristic asymmetrical entrance, low front projection, underlined timpanum with a cartouche and standing figures on the attic. The mansard roof is covered with eternit and black tile. By its stylistic features, the consistently applied concept of art nouveau decoration into the traditional pattern of a one-storey house, the building belongs to the group that deserves to be listed as national trust. It stands on the borderline of the protected spatial cultural-historic whole of downtown Zemun as an element of its architectural and stylistic coherence.
