The derelict site of Koutū railway station on the mothballed Rotorua Branch

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Koutū railway station in December 2019, over 18 years after the last passenger train ran in October 2001. To the right of the mothballed railway line is the concrete passenger platform. A goods yard was once across the road in the distance; until 1989, the railway continued another 2 km into central Rotorua. Koutū was the terminus from 1989 until the line was mothballed.
