Engraved by James Duffield Harding (1797-1863) after Charles Stewart Hardinge (1822-1894), the eldest son of the first Viscount Hardinge, the Governor General.

This particular plate deviates from the original printed issue, hand-colour tinted, and heightened with varnish, each mounted on a titled card in pencil, with the original caption still showing. Provenance, a volume set owned and sold in 2017 by the ‘’Brooklyn Library (stamped).’’ References: Abbey Travel 472; Tooley 244.
