Description
English:
One storey building. Built for a trading house in around 1860. Later used as gendarmerie barracks, after World War II till 1980s here was the Gyula Knitwear Factory. In the 2020s on the first floor is a radio museum, on the ground floor is a tourist office - 7 Kossuth Lajos Street, Gyula, Békés County, Hungary.

Tourinform Gyula - Turisztikai Információs Iroda. Egyemeletes polgárház, késő klasszicista, épült 1860 körül csendőrlaktanya?? céljára. Utcai homlokzata 5 tengelyes, földszint közepén van a kapu. A pince és a földszint boltozott, a lépcsőház boltozott és pilléres, reprezentatív tér. Emeletes polgárház/kereskedőház, késő klasszicista, épült 1860 körül, később csendőrlaktanya. Néhány lépcsőfokkal megemelt, kosáríves hevederekkel tagolt dongaboltozattal fedett kapualj, az udvar felé kosáríves záródású, felülvilágítós kapuval. A kapualj K-i oldalán négy pilléres lépcsőház, háromkarú lépcsővel, új, fából készült lépcsőfokokkal, kovácsoltvas korláttal. Pincelejárat a lépcsőház pillérei között, kovácsoltvas ajtószárnyakkal; boltozott pince a teljes épület alatt. Két traktusos belső, a földszinten szegmentíves hevederek közé fogott harántdongás -, az emeleten 19-20. századi síkmennyezetes helyiségekkel. A II. világháború után kötőipari üzem működött benne. Jelenleg az emelet rádiómúzeumnak, a földszint idegenforgalmi irodáknak ad helyet. Felújított épület. - A Panoráma kiadó 'Alföld' c. könyv szerint 1980 körül a Gyulai Kötöttárugyár (Kossut Lajos u. 7.szám) 1860-körül eredetileg? laktanyának emelt. azonosító: 2475 törzsszám: 739 "Védendő településszerkezeti városrész: belváros", helyi védelem azonosító: -1819 - Békés megye, Gyula, Kossuth Lajos utca 7 szám, helyrajzi szám: 4433/4
