Description
Nederlands: Ook Kevin van de Rijdt zit voor ISAF in het Afghaanse Uruzgan, maar dan in 2009. Als commando is hij op 6 september betrokken bij een geheime missie in de Helmand-vallei, middenin door de Taliban gecontroleerd gebied. De patrouillerende militairen lopen er in een hinderlaag. Kevin, als scherpschutter in de eerste linie, wordt op 26-jarige leeftijd dodelijk getroffen. Met gevaar voor eigen leven halen zijn kameraden zijn lichaam uit de gevechtszone en brengen het naar Kamp Holland. Kevin wordt naar Nederland gevlogen en gecremeerd.
