Description
English: Staff Sgt. Eric Rutherford of Salem, Ore., Oregon Army National Guard, Combined Joint Task Force-1, spins a top during a traditional game played during the Korean autumn holiday of "Chuseok," on Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, Sept. 28, 2012. The Republic of Korea Army contingent held a celebration honoring Korean Armed Forces Day, which commemorates Oct. 1, during the Korean War, when South Korean forces pushed through the 38th parallel. Events such as this offer an opportunity for service members from various contingents to build cohesion through honoring armed forces from other foreign contingents.
