Summary

[edit]
Description

Seen at Uiwang Rail Museum.

This train, built in 1964, served on South Korea's only narrow-gauge line, the Suwon-Incheon Line, until 1987.

The Suwon-Incheon Line, closed in 1995 and partially run as a standard-gauge line since 1988, is being rebuilt in full as a conventional 1,435mm gauge line, and the open segments host portions of Seoul Subway Line 4 service. The full line, to be shared by trains from Bundang Line and Line 4 as well as dedicated Suwon-Incheon Line trains, will be re-opened in 2016.
