Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Konung en och Drottningen på Hawaiiske Oarne Portrait of Kamehameha III and Queen Kalama by Paul Plum. This is redrawn from a drawing by Paul Plum, originally published in Steen Anderson Bille's Reise der Corvette Galathea. Lithographs reproduced from the original drawings made by Paul Plum during the visit of the Galathea expedition in October of 1846. The original of most of these are in the National Maritime Museum, Kronberg, Denmark. The original portraits of the king and queen are in the Bernice P. Bishop Museum, Honolulu. The Bishop Museum has copy photographs of the Plum drawings of Hawaii and Tahiti made in the 1920s, when these were still owned by the Plum family. These include several images whose present whereabouts are unknown.
