Великий князь представлен в роли Гамлета в любительской постановке трагедии У. Шекспира на сцене Эрмитажного театра. В 1899 г. Константин Константинович не только перевел «Гамлета» на русский язык, но и с разрешения Николая II играл в спектакле главную роль. Император сделал в своем дневнике от 27 февраля 1899 г. следующую запись: «После завтрака отправились вдвоем в Мраморный дворец. Костя с Измайловскими офицерами играл несколько сцен из “Гамлета”, своего перевода. Он играл лучше всех». English: Portrait of Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich , St. Petersburg. 1899 Imprint on salted paper, watercolor, white, lacquer. The Grand Duke presented as Hamlet in the amateur production of Shakespeare tragedy at the Hermitage Theatre. In 1899, Konstantin not only translated the "Hamlet" into the Russian language, but also with the permission of Nicholas II played a major role in the play. Emperor made in his diary on February 27, 1899 the following entry: "After breakfast, set off alone in the Marble Palace. Kostya Izmaylovsky's officers played a few scenes from "Hamlet", his translation. He played better than anyone." |
