Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Kitab Kejadian pasal 1 di Alkitab menggambarkan pada mulanya Elohim menciptakan langit dan bumi. Langit di kitab bahasa ibrani disebut sebagai shamayim yang berarti surga. Ini berarti konsep penciptaan awal adalah penciptaan surga dan bumi.

Taman Eden digambarkan dalam Alkitab sebagai taman yang berada di tempat yang lebih tinggi dari bumi tetapi bisa terjangkau dari bumi, dan posisinya bukan disurga tetapi seperti di surga. Berdasarkan konsep tabernakel, yaitu ruang kudus bait suci, digambarkan seperti taman eden, yaitu tempat dimana kekudusan Tuhan dan dunia fana bertemu. Konsep ini digambarkan dalam dua lingkaran yang saling bersinggungan / berpotongan dimana mahluk sorgawi dan mahluk bumi dapat bertemu.

Juga digambarkan ketika manusia mencoba membuat menara babel, dimana puncaknnya direncanakan sampai kepada taman eden.
