| Description |
日本語:金戒光明寺の大方丈。昭和9年（1934年）に一度焼失したが、10年後の昭和19年（1944年）に再建された。幕末の京都守護職・会津藩（この寺が本陣になっていた）藩主の松平容保と新撰組の近藤勇が謁見した部屋が再現されている。
中には熊谷直実が都で平敦盛の首を切った後、鎧に付いた血を洗ったとされる大池（鎧池）の他、回廊式庭園を始めとする庭が幾つかあり、近年では2011年の法然上人800年大御遠忌記念として、庭として法然上人の生涯やゆかりの人々を大小の庭石や杉苔で表現した枯山水庭園「紫雲の庭」や、法然上人の唱えた仏教の基本的な考え方の一つである「ご縁」を表現した庭「ご縁の道」が作られた。http://ueyakato.jp/gardens/kurodani/ 内部は通常は非公開だが、紅葉など観光の時期を中心に特別公開される |
