| Description |
Deutsch: Man sieht eine gut ausgebildete Hauptwolkenuntergrenze (ceiling) in größerer Höhe. Darunter sieht man die Nebelschwaden des Kraftwerkes Weisweiler bei Eschweiler im Rheinland. Unterhalb des Kondensationsniveaus können sich die Schwaden nicht als Nebel halten und werden wieder zu unsichtbarem Wasserdampf. Die Aufnahme entstand vom Westende Aachens aus, die Blickrichtung ist in etwa nach Osten Richtung Köln.
English: Near or at the cloud base permanent clouds can form. The cloud base here is at least some hundered meters above ground. Below, clouds formed by a lignite fuelled power plant cannot persists and quickly disappear as they gain height. |
