Français : Masque Komo (confrérie importante et répandue chez les Bambaras, au Mali. Bois, poils de porc, corne d'antilope, pigments. don de Rudolf Geigy, 1985. Museum der Kulturen Basel. Les matériaux utilisés, cornes, poils, défenses d'animaux, sont considérés comme magiques. Le sang sacrificiel des animaux augmente l'efficacité magique de ces masques. Cependant on ne sais pas si ces masques ont été jamais utilisés dans un cadre rituel. (Brochure en consultation en 2019 dans le musée, section : "La quête du savoir rencontre la soif de collectionner".)
