| Description |
English: That's how 'the lungs of Kolkata' is congested... Passing through this part of the city had always offered a sense of pleasure and comfort. So after attending an enlightening session on Adi-Ganga or 'Tolly's Nulla' that took place very close to Maidan, did not think twice to take a stroll through the greenery. It was quite disheartening to find Kolkata Maidan in this state, it looked more like a waste dumping ground. Coincidentally the symposium on Adi-Ganga also talked about improper waste management, lack of public awareness, need for conservation and planned decision making towards better resilience. |
