Description
Nederlands: Kolbak Cavalerie.
Wapen der Cavalerie

Hoofddeksel: De kolbak werd oorspronkelijk gemaakt van zeekalverenvel, maar nu zwart kunstbont. De witte pluim is van wit paardenhaar. Hoe hoger de pluim, hoe hoger in rang.

Oorsprong: Het Wapen der Cavalerie bestond ten tijde van het Staatse Leger uit verschillende regimenten ruiterij met verschillende taken, bewapening en uniformen. In 1887 werden alle regimenten omgedoopt tot huzarenregimenten. Huzaren waren oorspronkelijk de inheemse lichte ruiterij van Hongarije.

Plaats/taak tijdens Prinsjesdag: het Wapen der Cavalerie wordt vertegenwoordigd door het Cavalerie Ere-escorte. Het escorte rijdt met een commandogroep, standaardwacht en twee pelotons mee in de Koninklijke Stoet. De standaardwacht voert de standaard mee van het Regiment Huzaren Van Boreel, voorzien van de cravates van de ontbonden cavalerieregimenten. De kolbak wordt ook gedragen door de Fanfare Bereden Wapens, die de muziek verzorgt langs de route.
