English: Kodayu Isokichi two Japanese casteways returned to Japan by Laxman 1792. In December of Tenmei 2 (1782), the ship Shinsho Maru from Shirako Village, Ise Province, encounters a strong wind off the coast of Suruga and begins drifting. After that, the crew, led by Kodayu Daikokuya, the boatman, spent more than eight years in Russia, had an audience with Empress Catherine in Petersburg, the capital, in 1791, and returned to Japan the following year, accompanied by Laxman, an envoy to Japan. 日本語:天明２年(1782)１２月、伊勢国白子村の船神昌丸が駿河沖で大風に遭遇して漂流をはじめ、翌年７月、アリューシャン列島のアムチトカ島に漂着する。その後、船頭大黒屋光太夫を中心とした乗組員たちは、８年余をロシアで過ごし、寛政3年(1791)首都ペテルブルグで女帝エカチェリナに謁見、翌年遣日使節のラクスマンに伴われて帰国した。 |
