Knobbed Bronze Armlet
Description
The Knobbed bronze armlet is cast with rounded terminals, alternating thick and narrow projections. It is hollow and C-shaped in cross-section. The decoration is distinctive and occurs on central European armlets, bracelets and neck rings, most commonly in Hungary and former Czechoslovakia, where such objects have been fonud in Celtic grave groups. The inner examples occur in the Marne area in France. This armlet is very similar to an Iron Age bracket also in the Hunt Museum collection.
