English: "In the 100 block of Royal Street hands are lifted in entreaty Wednesday as a float carrying favor-throwing Knights of Babylon rolls past the shouting throng in the second of the carnival season"s spectacular night parades." 17 Feb, 1955, caption and photo by the Times- Picayune of New Orleans. No credit given for photographer. ( This could have been soooo much better without that washout from the flash, bet you won't see anyone standing on awnings today! )
