| Description |
English: Knight Hospitaller An early 14th century alabaster tomb divided by buttresses into four panels, each carved with an angel under a crocketed ogee arch. On the tomb lies a knight in armour, with a Maltese cross around his neck indicating that he belonged to the order of St John of Jerusalem, or Knights Hospitaller. The tomb was reputedly removed from St Johns church when it was pulled down in 1625 and erected at the east end of the north aisle and then moved to its current position in the 18th century. (Jebb G.
