| Description |
Deutsch: Das Kuppelfresko im Marmorsaal des Augustiner-Chorherrenstiftes in der niederösterreichischen Stadt Klosterneuburg. Für das Deckenfresko wurde der Hofmaler des Fürsten Schwarzenberg und kaiserlicher Kammermaler Daniel Gran beauftragt. Dieser malte es um 2000 Gulden und 100 Dukaten ab 8. Mai 1749 bis 29.September 1749 unter die 22 x 15 x 5 Metern große Kuppel des Marmorsaales, der der Mittelpunkt des Residenztraktes ist. Der Titel des Fresko ist „Die Glorie des Hauses Österreich“, das Kunsthistorikern als Überleitung zum Klassizismus und prägend für die zweite Hälfte des 18.Jahrhunderts sehen: [1].
