English: Southern wall of the former Gravenhorst Cistercian Nunnery (Kloster Gravenhorst) in Hörstel-Gravenhorst, Kreis Steinfurt, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The former monastery is a listed cultural heritage monument.
Deutsch: Südmauer am Gelände des Klosters Gravenhorst in Hörstel-Gravenhorst, Kreis Steinfurt, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. Als Teil des vormaligen Zisterzienserinnenklosters steht sie unter Denkmalschutz. Diese Mauer ist einer der wenigen Orte der Klosteranlage, an denen noch der Braunstielige Streifenfarn (Asplenium trichomanes) wächst. Es ist eine der wenigen Fundstellen dieser Art in Westfalen. Aus naturschutzfachlicher Sicht ist es daher von eminenter Bedeutung, eine (Über-)Restaurierung dieser alten Mauern zu unterlassen, um hier nicht bedeutsame Sonderstandorte zu zerstören. Solch unrestaurierte Mauerteile sind daher sehr wichtig.
