Description
Deutsch: Die Klostergebäude in Gerlachsheim dienten auch nach der Mediatisierung 1806 als Schloss und Verwaltungssitz. 1838 erwarb der badische Staat die Besitzungen. Das Bezirksamts Gerlachsheim wurde dort bis zu seiner Aufbehung im Jahre 1864 untergebracht. 1874 eröffnete im ehemaligen Kloster eine Taubstummenanstalt, die ab 1935 sukzessive aufgelöst wurde. Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs diente die Klosteranlage für zwangsumgesiedelte Slowenen und nach Kriegsende als zentrales Durchgangslager zur Unterbringung von Vertriebenen. Seit 1952 nutzte der Main-Tauber-Kreis die ehemaligen Klostergebäude als Alters- und Pflegeheim.
