Description
Deutsch: Refektorium und Südfassade/Turm der Klosterkirche. Das Kloster Friedland ist eine ehemalige Abtei der Zisterzienserinnen in Altfriedland im Landkreis Märkisch-Oderland, Brandenburg. Das genaue Gründungsdatum ist nicht bekannt, die Gründung erfolgte frühestens 1230 und spätestens 1271. 1540 wurde das Kloster säkularisiert und nach und nach zu einem repräsentativen märkischen Gutshof um- und ausgebaut. Von den Klosterbauten sind Reste eines Kreuzgangs und des Refektoriums sowie die später mehrfach überformte Klosterkirche Altfriedland erhalten; diese Bauten sind denkmalgeschützt.
English: Refectory and church. The Kloster Friedland is a former Cistercian Nunnery in Altfriedland, a village of the municipality Neuhardenberg in the District Märkisch-Oderland, Brandenburg, Germany. The exact date of it's foundation being unknown. It was established not earlier than 1230 and at he latest in 1271. In 1540 it was disestablished and modified and extended into a representative estate. Of the monastery-buildings have been preserved remains of a cloister and of the refectory as well as the Klosterkirche Altfriedland, the several times remodelled early gothic-Fieldstone church. All these buildings are listed.
