Deutsch: Beim Bibliotheksbau handelt es sich um ein Fachwerkgeschoss, das den westlichen Teil des Kreuzgangs überbaut und teilweise in die Klostergasse hereinragt. In den Klostergarten des Kreuzgangs springt ein fünfseitiger Treppenturm vor. Bei der Sanierung im 20. Jahrhundert wurde das spätgotische Fachwerk wieder freigelegt. Der 1478–1480 erstellte Bau diente als Bibliothek des Klosters, als infolge der Verbreitung des Buchdrucks das Armarium, im östlichen Klausurbau, dieser nicht mehr ausreichend Raum bot. Der Bau ist einer der ältesten erhaltenen Bibliotheksbauten in Deutschland. Der Treppenturm wurde um 1500 erbaut. Die Baudaten konnten bei der Sanierung im späten 20. Jahrhundert dendrochronologisch überprüft werden
English: The library building is a half-timbered floor that covers the western part of the cloister and partially protrudes into Klostergasse. A five-sided stair tower projects into the monastery garden of the cloister. During the renovation in the 20th century, the late Gothic half-timbering was uncovered again. The building, built between 1478 and 1480, served as the monastery's library when, due to the spread of printing, the armarium in the eastern cloister building no longer offered sufficient space. The building is one of the oldest surviving library buildings in Germany. The stair tower was built around 1500. The construction dates could be checked dendrochronologically during the renovation in the late 20th century
