Deutsch: Die Mehrerau wurde 1097 von den Mönchen des Benediktinerklosters Petershausen (Konstanz) gegründet. Viele Jahrhunderte wirkten die Benediktiner segensreich am Bodensee und weit darüber hinaus. 1803 wurde das Kloster durch die Wirren der Zeit aufgehoben und die Mönche vertrieben. 1854 kauften die Zisterzienser von Wettingen das Anwesen und ließen sich hier nieder. Sie übernahmen das benediktinische Erbe und führen deren Tradition weiter. *** In Bregenz, Vorarlberg.
