Description Wappen der Klinckowström, seit 17. Jh. schwedisch-pommersches Adelsgeschlecht, die Vorfahren lebten unter dem Namen Klinkow oder Klinckow in Stralsund und stammten möglicherweise aus dem gleichnamigen Ort bei Prenzlau, wo bereits 1320 die Brüder Peter und Johann de Klinkow, Bürger und Burglehnbesitzer in der Stadt Prenzlau, der örtlichen Nikolaikirche einen Altar stifteten.
