Le circonferenze tangenti del teorema di Descartes. Date tre circonferenze mutualmente tangenti (in nero), il teorema risolve il problema di trovare una quarta circonferenza tangente alle altre. Esistono in generale due soluzioni possibili: una circonferenza interna (in rosso) e una esterna (in verde). The so-called "kissing circles" of Descartes' theorem. Given three tangent circles (in black), the theorem solves the problem of finding out a fourth circle tangent to the others. There are generally two possible solutions: an inner circle (in red) and an outer one (in green). |
