Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Kirk Loch. This bay is a bit of an enigma. It could be a wave-cut platform, or it might be a lava flow or flows. However parts of it look like collapsed caves, and the inlet on the extreme left leads into a cave, accessible only at low tide and by canoe, which leads to a series of cracks and a blowhole. The bay takes its name from St Murdoch's Chapel, which lies on top of the cliffs and to the right from this viewpoint.
