| Description |
English: Kinneil Kerse large refuse skips Here there are large skips for furniture, scrap metal and wood. The cars in the rear are dumping garden refuse which is compacted by the large green roller and composted for next year. In the foreground there is often a pile of childrens bicycles and the like which can be stripped down and recycled. There are plans for a "Soil Hospital" to the right (west) of this part of the site to detoxify soil which has been contaminated by oil products. Bacterial digestion and regular turning has been shown to speed up the breakdown of hydrocarbons. |
