Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Kinloss Abbey. Legend has it that King David I became lost while hunting, and prayed for help. A white dove appeared and led him to safety, and in gratitude he founded the Abbey of Kinloss in 1150. Sadly, the evidence does not support the theory that the name is derived from 'king lost'!
