[edit]DescriptionKing of Na gold seal.jpg |
中文:漢封倭奴國王金印
English: The King of Na gold seal, bestowed by Han Dynasty Emperor Guangwu.
In the Chinese historical chronicle “Records of the Late Han Dynasty”, there is a notation that in the year 57 A.D., the Chinese Emperor Guangwu (Kuang-wu) presented a seal to visiting envoys dispatched by the King of Na of Wa (during the Yayoi period) in 57 AD. "Wa" is an ancient name for Japan. "Na" (Nakoku, 奴国) is an ancient kingdom / state within Japan located in and around modern-day Fukuoka City in Kyushu. It was rediscovered in 1784 in Shikanoshima and is now regarded one of the National Treasures of Japan.[1] |
