Il was not until eight years and the Dahomean defeat at the hands of the French troops of General Dodds, to see the rebirth of Kétou. It was therefore in 1894, during the reign of King Oyingin that Kétou finally rose again. Since then, Kétou has known five sovereigns, the last of which, Adedun Loye,successor of Alade ifè, who died on January 22,2018.
